Having road tested new material under a variety of pseudonyms last year, Future Islands then headed into the legendary Sunset Sound studio in LA with producer John Congleton (Prince, The Beach Boys) to record the follow up to their 2014 breakthrough, Singles.

The Far Field will be the band’s first album to feature live drums from touring member Michael Lowry, who joined them just before their famed appearance on David Letterman in 2014. Deborah Harry from Blondie also features on the track ‘Shadows’.

The Far Field by Future Islands will be released on Friday April 7 through Remote Control Records
