Muse have announced their tenth studio album, The WOW! Signal, due June 26 via Warner Records, alongside lead single "Be With You" and one of the more memorable album announcements in recent memory.
Muse have announced The WOW! Signal – their first album since 2022’s Will Of The People – and the announcement came via an actual space launch, with the band partnering with Sent Into Space to send a specially designed tablet 33km into the atmosphere to premiere the “Be With You” video. A second package carried stickers for a limited-edition vinyl release for fans to claim. As far as album announcements go, it’s a pretty memorable one.

The album title draws from one of the more compelling mysteries in modern science, when a powerful 72-second radio burst was detected in 1977, originating from the constellation Sagittarius, with a bandwidth and intensity that suggested a possible extraterrestrial source. The astronomer who found it famously circled the sequence “6EQUJ5” on the printout and wrote “WOW!” beside it, giving the signal its name and its place in both scientific and pop-culture history.
Lead single “Be With You” opens on a huge church organ and Matt Bellamy’s equally expansive vocal before building into driving electronica and eventually searing rock. Directed by Nico Paolillo, known for his work with Deafheaven and BAD OMENS, the accompanying video stars Ella Balinska (Resident Evil, The Occupant), following a woman drawn out into the night by a strange and overwhelming force.
The WOW! Signal marks Muse’s first record since Will Of The People, which debuted at number one on the ARIA Album Chart as well as on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums. The band, Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme, have sold over 30 million records worldwide since forming in 1994, taking home two Grammy Awards along the way, including Best Rock Album for 2015’s Drones.
The WOW! Signal is out June 26 via Warner Records. Pre-order available now.
