Limited to just 100 units, each guitar is handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, and personally signed by Hammett on the soundhole label. The Raven maintains the Hummingbird’s square-shoulder body design but reimagines it with custom raven-themed artwork, including highly ornate double pickguards and a raven-inspired tailpiece accent. A mother-of-pearl raven skull inlay adorns the headstock alongside the Gibson logo.
The construction stays true to Gibson’s acoustic heritage. A Sitka spruce top pairs with mahogany back and sides, supported by traditional scalloped Advanced X-bracing for classic acoustic tone. The mahogany neck features a comfortable Round profile and a bound ebony fretboard with 20 frets and mother-of-pearl star inlays. A 16″ radius makes it easier to navigate fast, expressive playing. Grover Rotomatic tuners keep everything locked in, while TUSQ components, including the nut, compensated saddle, and bridge pins, ensure smooth performance and stability.
The Raven comes stage-ready with an L.R. Baggs Element VTC +4 system pre-installed. Volume and tone controls are discreetly mounted in the soundhole for quick access without disrupting the guitar’s aesthetic, while an additional 4dB of output provides extra headroom when needed.
Each guitar ships in a black Gibson Custom hardshell case featuring a matching raven skull graphic, along with a certificate of authenticity and a custom raven-themed strap. Finished in ebony nitrocellulose lacquer, the Kirk Hammett Raven represents a collector’s piece that bridges Gibson’s wildlife-themed tradition with Hammett’s darker vision.
