The Brisbane trio will tour the East Coast this June with Bad Suns, marking ten years since their sophomore album with a special release titled Wellnxss.

Last Dinosaurs are celebrating a decade of their sophomore album with Wellnxss, a reworked version of their 2015 release Wellness, dropping 13 February via Nettwerk ahead of a special tenth anniversary tour this June.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

For a band that emerged from Brisbane’s indie boom of the 2010s, Wellness represented a pivotal moment. Band member Sean Caskey is refreshingly honest about the experience: “I used to look back on this album as a bit of a failure, as there was so much pressure to follow up In A Million Years.”

After dropping lo-fi demos on YouTube and witnessing the overwhelmingly positive reaction, the trio gained confidence in their DIY approach to recording. “That really inspired us to have more confidence in our own abilities and was the driving force behind Yumeno Garden,” Caskey explains. Wellness became the catalyst for their evolution, pushing them to record entirely on their own terms.

A decade later, ‘Apollo’ and ‘Wurl’ remain fixtures in the Last Dinosaurs catalogue—dreamy, guitar-driven soundscapes laced with expansive synths and rhythms that fans have latched onto worldwide. That global reach isn’t just talk: the band has racked up over 29 million streams in 2025 alone, played stages at Lollapalooza, All Things Go Festival and Corona Capital, and supported bigwigs including Florence + The Machine, Foals and Foster The People.

Their sound has travelled well beyond Australia, connecting with audiences across North America, Europe, the UK, South Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. The Australian East Coast tour kicks off with support from Californian indie rockers Bad Suns.

Last Dinosaurs tour dates

19 June: Torquay Hotel, Torquay
20 June: Northcote Theatre, Melbourne
25 June: King Street Bandroom, Newcastle

Wellness may have felt like uncertain at the time, but ten years on, it’s clear the album was the perfect follow-up to In a Million Years. Wellnxss offers fans a chance to reconnect with that material through a new lens.
