Korg has released System Updater v1.01 and Editor v1.1.0 for the microAUDIO series, bringing a handful of useful feature additions and stability improvements to the compact audio interface range.
Firmware updates don’t always make headlines – but when they add features that change how you work with a piece of hardware, they’re worth paying attention to. Korg’s latest update for the microAUDIO series lands in that category, with a focused refresh that adds real functionality rather than just patching things quietly in the background.

The System Updater v1.01 introduces loopback on/off control, which is a handy addition for anyone using the microAUDIO for streaming, podcasting, or recording content that pulls from multiple sources. Compressor/limiter functionality has been enabled for USB audio input channels 1/2, giving users more control over incoming signal levels directly through the hardware. The 700S Filter has also been extended to USB audio input channels 3/4, and there are new parameters for adjusting the audio mix at the headphone output — a small but practical change for monitoring during sessions. A handful of minor bugs have been addressed as well.
On the software side, Editor v1.1.0 mirrors the loopback addition and builds on it: when loopback is set to off, the headphone output can now be assigned independently from the main output. That kind of routing flexibility matters when you’re monitoring something different from what’s going out to speakers or a recording chain. The 700S Filter can now also be applied to any track routed to outputs 3/4, expanding the processing options available within the Editor itself.
Taken together, the updates reflect a consistent pattern with Korg’s approach to the microAUDIO line — listening to how people are using the hardware and refining the feature set accordingly. The loopback addition in particular points to a growing use case around content creation and live streaming, where controlling what’s fed back into the signal path is essential.
For retailers with floor stock units, Korg is recommending the update be applied to ensure the best possible in-store experience for customers trying the interface.
