Headlining the festival is Slipknot, a band renowned for their jaw-dropping live performances and dedication to creating memorable experiences for fans. Since launching Knotfest in 2012, Slipknot has built a global reputation for curating a festival that brings together the best of heavy music and counterculture. Their 2025 return to Australia follows their monumental performance at the country’s first-ever Knotfest in 2023. Slipknot, having recently released their 2022 album The End, So Far, continue to dominate the global metal scene with their thrilling and cathartic performances, which blend fan favourites like Duality and Psychosocial with newer material.

This marks a rare opportunity for Australian fans to see BABYMETAL and Within Temptation live. BABYMETAL, known for their unique fusion of J-pop and heavy metal, will perform following their sold-out Australian headline tour in 2023. Within Temptation, Dutch pioneers of dark and anthemic rock, will be performing in Australia for the first time.

Polaris, one of Australia’s most prominent heavy bands, will also take to the stage, fresh off the release of their latest album, Fatalism, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Other highlights include the ferocious deathcore of Slaughter to Prevail and hardcore legends Hatebreed, who will be celebrating 30 years as a band.

The festival will also feature the return of the fan-favourite Knotfest Museum, which showcases iconic items from Slipknot’s 25-year career. This immersive experience, enhanced for 2025, offers fans the chance to dive deep into Slipknot’s history.

Early bird pre-sale tickets are available on Monday, 21 October, with general tickets on sale Wednesday, 23 October. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.knotfest.com/australia.
