Altitude combines formant-aware pitch correction, three-voice smart harmonies, a MIDI-playable voice module and deep modulation tools – all running in real time with zero latency.

Pitch correction is just the starting point of Klevgrand’s new Altitude plugin – it covers harmonies, MIDI-playable vocals and deep modulation in a single real-time processor built for the studio and stage.

The pitch engine is the foundation, and it’s been in development for years. Formant-aware processing keeps corrections sounding natural even at more aggressive settings, and a dedicated zero-latency mode makes it usable in live environments without the usual trade-offs. Two doubler modes and a built-in widener round out the lead vocal tools for producers who want a fuller sound without stacking multiple plugins.

Three smart voices that follow the lead in the correct key handle harmonies. Each voice processes independently, and you can skip dissonant intervals automatically, so chord movements stay musical rather than jarring. Vibrato, a humaniser and auto-formant correction are all available per voice, and the built-in doubler can thicken the harmony layer further. Blending them into a mix is straightforward with individual level controls and the widener.

The Play module lets you treat the voice like any other instrument, either played live from a MIDI keyboard or triggered from DAW data. Formant shifting, attack and release controls, width and doubler settings all apply here, giving you tonal shaping over every note.

Modulation goes from subtle to well beyond what most vocal processors offer. Three independent modulators, each with up to eight target parameters, can run free or lock to DAW tempo. Shape options cover sine, saw and square, or you can build something custom with a 16-step editor. Pitch, formants, harmony intervals, pan and volume are all fair game.

A smart scale system lets you disable individual notes for harmony voices independently of the lead – useful for live performance across multiple keys, and controllable via MIDI. Micro-tuning support is also included for those who need to go beyond standard tuning.

Altitude is available now for macOS and Windows in AU, VST, VST3 and AAX formats. Learn more here
