Appearing alongside the already expansive knowledge base are the likes of Chris Cheney of The Living End, multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer Beatrice Lewis, songwriter Laura Jean, composition veterans Bryony Marks and Miriama Young (also an experienced sound artist), as well as Tracy McNeil and Luke Sinclair who are bringing a more alt-country flavoured angle to the communal musical table.
The idea behind the inagural one-day event of masterclasses, workshops and speakers is to foster professional development and provide networking oppurtunities for those in the industry looking to branch out of their current workflow and mindset, or even just to solidify their current path. Program hosts, Creative Victoria via the Victorian Government and APRA AMCOS, hope that it will give ticketholders plenty of insight from those who have been at their game for years.
With already announced special guests such as Warryn Campbell (Grammy-award winning writer/producer/executive for the likes of Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Missy Elliot among others), Shungudzo, and Harvey Miller of Client Liason, the roster is now set to convey to participants an even greater wealth of ideas on how to tackle their craft from different angles they may not have considered before. The breadth of experienced speakers and the wide array of styles, genres and fields represented will most certainly provide plenty of information to anyone lucky enough to snag a ticket to the day.
