Known as stART, the program will see the Queensland Government direct money to artists and workers behind-the-scenes, with QMusic acting as the administrative partner. Successful applicants can apply for $3000 each as a means to “support creative development and business activities focussed on future opportunities during the COVID recovery phase”.
“stART will help to support all segments of the independent sector, across multiple art-forms and communities, whose work has been and continues to be impacted by closure of venues and social distancing rules,” a representative from Arts Queensland said in a statement yesterday.
To apply for the stART program, head to QMusic’s website to submit your application between Monday June 15 through to Monday June 22.
