Taking place at the annual Sydney Guitar Festival, the world record attempt was led by classic Aussie rock band The Choirboys, who directed a hefty number of 457 pocket-amp wielding shredders in unison to perform a rendition of AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’.
While the record attempt is yet to be verified by the folks at Guinness World Records, organisers believe their rather impressive effort has absolutely smashed the previous record out of the park, which was set back in 2013 when 368 Indian guitarists performed Guns N’ Roses ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’ together.
Funds rasied from registrations to the event are set to be donated to Australian Children’s Music Foundation. You can check out some fairly noisy footage from the event above.
Remember when an Aussie guitarist played for 125 hours straight to bust another world record?
