Lab.gruppen's latest Lake Controller update includes pre-built HK Audio loudspeaker presets, removing the need to configure settings from scratch for a range of HK Audio systems.
HK Audio users running Lake-based setups have an extra reason to update their Lab.gruppen Lake Controller. Version 8.1.7 ships with Lake Load Library 5.13, which now includes a comprehensive set of presets developed specifically for HK Audio systems and optimised for use with Lake processor platforms.

The preset library covers a wide range of HK Audio products, including the COSMO, C-SUB, CONTOUR X, the passive models of the LINEAR and LINEAR SUB series, CADIS, SI SERIES, FINEO, VORTIS and VORTIS 2. Each preset comes with precise filter and limiter parameters designed to deliver consistent sound quality, reliable operation and faster commissioning on site – important when you’re racing the clock before doors open.
Beyond the expanded product coverage, the new filters bring technical improvements. Beam steering options have been expanded, subwoofer filters have been reduced and optimised, and additional headroom has been added, particularly for COSMO systems. Phase response is now harmonised and consistent across all of HK Audio’s Concert Sound products, which makes system integration considerably more straightforward.
The presets don’t lock users into a fixed approach – manual configuration remains fully available for situations that call for something more tailored. For touring engineers, installation specialists and live event professionals, having manufacturer-developed, platform-optimised presets on hand removes a layer of guesswork from the commissioning process and keeps things consistent across different rigs and venues.
