Heritage Guitars has expanded its American-made Standard II Collection with the H-137, a single-pickup mahogany solid body built around resonance, dynamic response and in-house craftsmanship at the legendary 225 Parsons Street factory.
Heritage Guitars has added the H-137 to its Standard II Collection, a purposefully stripped-back solid body that leans into simplicity without compromise.
Built at the 225 Parsons Street factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the H-137 uses a mahogany body and neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard. Dropping to a single-pickup configuration maximises wood mass, and Heritage says the result is a noticeably richer resonance and tonal character compared to multi-pickup layouts where routing cuts into the body.

That single pickup is a Heritage Custom Shop 225 Standard Humbucker, designed and wound in-house. It’s built around a 2.5-inch rough-cast Alnico 5 magnet and runs without a cover, which contributes to articulate cleans and an overdrive character described as open, punchy and dynamically responsive. A push/pull tone pot adds series/parallel switching, giving players a wider tonal range than the minimal control layout might suggest.
The neck follows a ’60s slim profile – comfortable and familiar for players used to vintage-inspired instruments, with enough grip to feel substantial. Aesthetically, a headstock veneer carrying the Heritage logo gives the guitar a more considered finish without overcomplicating the overall look.
“The new H-137 is a great example of that approach. It is stripped back, resonant, full of attitude, and built to let the work we do at 225 Parsons Street speak for itself,” says Gerald Hooper, AVP of Channel Sales.
The H-137 is available in Ebony and 3-Tone Sunburst finishes through authorised Heritage dealers. Head here to learn more.
