Featuring their new noiseless pickups, Fender’s Player Plus Series is designed to be approachable (and affordable) with a 12″-radius fingerboard with rolled edges and Modern “C” shape neck for comfortable playing.
“We designed the Player Plus series to match the unique characteristics of today’s players and creators,” said Justin Norvell, EVP Fender Products. “When we first launched the Player Series in 2018, we set a new standard for what an entry-point Fender could be. Now, the Player Plus series offers a next-level playing experience to help a new generation share their passion and distinct perspective. The newly-voiced Noiseless pickups and rolled edges of the neck deliver the power and precision modern artists demand.”
Utilising these modern Noiseless pickups, the highs can cut through the mix without an overpowering hum or buzz and there’s a guitar here for all styles of players.
Interesting guitars from this release are the Stratocaster HSS—which features humbucking and noiseless single coil pickups—and the Telecaster Nashville—which adds a Strat pickup in between the two Tele pickups you’d expect, enabling a wider range of tone.
Of the range, the colours really stand out, with Fender pushing these Player Plus Series models into a more vibrant territory. This may be the reason Fender has just launched a TikTok account and dropped the range on there. In the future they are aiming to create exclusive content for the platform, with educational videos and content drops expected.
