Fender celebrate 75 years with limited edition Diamond Anniversary models

Words by Will Brewster

Commemorating their unrivalled legacy within the musical instrument sector.

Fender are turning 75 this year, and to celebrate what’s been an outstanding knock for the Southern Californian company, they’re releasing a limited edition run of Diamond Anniversary guitars and basses.

The new 75th Anniversary models, which are available in either US-made or Made in Mexico variants, spotlight four of Fender’s most significant instruments – the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision and Jazz Bass – and come in two unique finishes: Two-Colour Bourbon Burst, and the aptly named Diamond Anniversary finish.

The Mexican-made limited edition models, which are decked out in the glistening Diamond Anniversary finishes, take design cues from the popular Vintera series, with each instrument being fitted with vintage-style pickups and modern C-shape satin-finished neck.

Each model also features a sweet painted headstock and a commemorative etched neck plate. and comes with a deluxe gig bag to cart it around in.

For something a little more deluxe, the US-made Fender 75th Anniversary models look like a sublime decision, with each instrument being kitted out with Custom Shop pickups, rolled fretboard edges and gold hardware with matching anniversary badging.

These guitars come shipped in a custom Inca Silver hardshell case with a luxe Lake Placid Blue interior, and are bundled with a certificate of authenticity to affirm their special status.
