Signature models lead the charge this year. Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter gets a new SC-607B Baritone in Magenta, continuing his run of extended-range instruments designed for dropped tunings. Slipknot’s Mick Thomson adds the MT-1 in Black Satin to his signature line, while metal veteran George Lynch and Slayer’s late Jeff Hanneman are both represented with new models bearing their names.
Two standout releases honour Alexi Laiho with 20th anniversary editions. The Alexi Sawtooth SE celebrates two decades since the original model, paying tribute to the late Children of Bodom guitarist’s signature style. These limited anniversary guitars mark a significant milestone for one of ESP’s most iconic collaborations.
Gojira’s Joe Duplantier continues his partnership with ESP through the JD-1 in Silver Sunburst, adding another finish option to his signature range. Each signature model features upgraded pickups and hardware tailored to the artist’s playing style and tonal preferences.
Beyond the signature series, ESP has refreshed its deluxe lineup with new models across the 400 and 1000 series. Highlights include the TH-400 in Scarlett Metallic and the MH-1000 NT in Granite Sparkle—both bringing fresh finish options to popular body shapes. New guitar models join the LSN, LMH, LXJ, and LAW ranges, covering everything from classic designs to more modern configurations.
Bass players aren’t left out either, with updates to the Surveyor and B series. The Surveyor 204 in Black Burst offers a contemporary take on traditional bass aesthetics, while the expanded B series provides more options for players after ESP’s signature low-end punch.
Across the board, ESP has focused on upgraded components—better pickups, improved hardware, and eye-catching finishes designed to appeal to players who want professional-spec instruments without custom shop pricing. It’s a practical approach that acknowledges that players need reliable gear that sound and play well straight out of the case.
For ESP enthusiasts, the 2026 lineup represents one of the brand’s most comprehensive updates in recent years, touching nearly every segment of their catalogue. Whether you’re after a signature model from a favourite artist or simply want a well-appointed instrument with modern features, there’s likely something here worth checking out.
