The guitar, which Ernie Ball Music Man have dubbed as Goldie, puts a distinctive twist on the St. Vincent signature launched by the brand back in 2016, providing updated appointments to make for another versatile new inclusion in the Ernie Ball range.
Named for both its glossy finish and gold-foil pickups, Goldie features a lightweight Okoume body with a roasted and figured maple neck, with the guitar being available to purchase with either an ebony or rosewood fretboard.
For the first time, the St. Vincent Goldie guitar also boasts a unique 2×4 reversed headstock, while the three-ply parchment pickguard of the guitar has also been altered for a more traditional aesthetic.
Ernie Ball Music Man have also loaded Goldie with three custom Music Man gold foil mini humbuckers to unlock some truly distinctive retro tones, which are wired to an intuitive five-way pickup selector switch to provide moderate output and a bright tonality.
Other appointments include stainless steel frets, chrome hardware, a signature St. Vincent tremolo with brass saddles and Schaller locking tuners, with Goldie retaining the signature St. Vincent fretboard inlays, control knobs and pearloid tuning keys as its predecessor.
While it’s the Cashmere Gold model with ebony fretboard that’s the stand-out from this batch, the St. Vincent Goldie is also available in two other variants: there’s also a Velveteen Red model with a rosewood fretboard, with a Silk Charmeuse Black model rounding out this stunning trio of signature models.
