A limited run of 99 hand-built units brings the legendary 1960s fuzz tone back to life, complete with modern enhancements for contemporary players.
The Tone Bender Mk1.5 stands as an ultra rare fuzz pedal, one of those rarest in existence, with fewer than 50 original units estimated to remain. When they occasionally surface on the secondhand market, these legendary stompboxes command high prices. Now, a new limited-edition recreation aims to capture that elusive sound with exacting precision.

Built using original new-old-stock OC75 transistors—the exact components found in the 1966 originals—each Delilah pedal has been A/B tested against an authentic Tone Bender Mk1.5 to ensure tonal accuracy. This circuit, famously used by George Harrison, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, is celebrated for its tight low end and exceptional cut-through in dense mixes. Its design also inspired the Fuzz Face, though that later pedal used different germanium transistors and produced a looser bottom end.
Beyond faithful recreation, Delilah adds two practical enhancements to the classic two-knob design. A gate control allows players to adjust the threshold, while a voltage control replicates the desirable tonal characteristics of a dying battery—a sweet spot many fuzz enthusiasts chase. With both controls dialled back, the pedal operates exactly like the original Mk1.5.
Running on standard 9V DC power, Delilah uses specialised circuitry to generate the reverse polarity required by the PNP OC75 transistors, delivering consistent power without the unpredictability of ageing batteries. Each unit is hand-built with premium through-hole components, ultra-long-life true-bypass switching and Neutrik sockets.
Only 99 numbered and signed units will be produced before the supply of OC75 transistors is exhausted.
