The vastly improved microphone for extreme high end, altered frequency filter between the microphone and face sensor, and new configuration between the face sensor and bridge pickup combine for a more responsive, dynamic and natural sounding plugged in sound than it’s predecessor and the new ‘FC’ (Filter Contour) button allows for effortless switching between the new configuration and an improved version of the earlier 3-way system.

Iconic Australian guitarist, songwriter, singer, and Cole Clark ambassador Lloyd Spiegel said “since its beginning in 2001, Cole Clark’s always been on a mission to meet the needs of the modern touring musician”.

“Part of that is to deliver a natural sounding, highly dynamic, responsive pickup system, and Cole Clark has become the market leader and best known for their pickups.

“As the definition of the modern touring musician changes, Cole Clark needs to change too, and we’re always looking at ways to evolve.”

Paul Gale joined the Cole Clark team in 2016 and was their in-house engineer and handled their electronics and R’n’D to deconstruct their exisiting pickup system and rebuild it from the ground up.

“Paul is an electronics whiz, an expert in sound, and an icon when it comes to this industry,” Spiegel said.

If there was ever going to be an innovative preamp like this, it was always going to come out of Australia because we all know acoustic guitarists in Australia need a pickup, and Cole Clark was always going to be the ones to deliver it.

The PG3 is standard on all Cole Clark models and are in store now.
