This years winners are ASHWARYA, Beddy Rays, BIRDZ, Jerome Farah, JK-47 and Sycco, who are all Australian based artists and musicians.

The prize awards each artist with $15,000 cash, a mental health workshop by The Indigo Project, a digital marketing workshop with Bolster and a set of Levis clothing.

On winning the award, Victorian based artist ASHWARYA said “I couldn’t have asked for better timing for this support in my music journey! I’m really appreciative of this especially considering how tricky it’s been as an emerging artist this past year to earn a major source of income so this will have an immense contribution towards my music career.”

The artists were selected for the prize from last years BIGSOUND50, which featured artists noted to be the future of Australian music.

On awarding the prize, Levi’s head of marketing, Trent Bos says “we believe music is a force for good. But belief without real backing isn’t enough to help aspiring musicians fulfil their ambitions, and our only hope is that this contribution can help these incredible artists do just that.”
