Australia’s biggest guitar event is heading to the Harbour City for the first time.
After a decade of success with the Melbourne Guitar Show, the Australian Music Association (AMA) is expanding its footprint with the inaugural Sydney Guitar Show. The event will bring together instrument manufacturers, retailers, luthiers, and musicians under one roof, creating a must-visit destination for guitar enthusiasts of all stripes.

A new home at Sydney Showgrounds
Following an extensive venue search, Sydney Showgrounds has been selected for its accessibility, infrastructure, and capacity to host large-scale exhibitions. Exhibition Hall 5, located opposite the stadium and near Olympic Park train station, offers multiple spaces including a sprawling main hall capable of accommodating growing exhibitor and attendee numbers. With ample parking and easy public transport access, the venue is set to make the Sydney Guitar Show both convenient and memorable.
What to expect
The AMA promises an interactive experience for attendees, from hands-on demonstrations to meet-and-greets with industry professionals. The event will showcase the latest gear, rare instruments, and the kind of live music performances that have made the Melbourne edition a highlight of the Australian music calendar. Exhibitors will also benefit from a central location with a strong music-industry presence, creating opportunities for networking and product launches.
Tickets and exhibitor bookings
Tickets for the Sydney Guitar Show will go on sale later in 2025, alongside the full program announcement. Exhibitor bookings open on 1st September, with AMA members receiving a month of priority access. Alex Masso, Executive Officer of the AMA and Producer of the Guitar Show, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for the industry and something our exhibitors have been asking about. Let’s do it.”
