Arturia, a leading name in the world of synthesis, has rolled out a new firmware update for its acclaimed PolyBrute synthesizer. The latest update introduces an impressive array of new features, enhancing the analog synthesizer’s capabilities and performance possibilities.

Among the standout additions is the introduction of a brand-new distortion category, housing seven distinct processing modes including Subtle Tape, Classic Distortion, Soft Clip, Worn Out Tape, Germanium, BitCrusher, and DownSample, with the new additions expanding the creative palette for sound designers, providing an even broader sound spectrum.

The update also bolsters the onboard effects routing capabilities, allowing users to re-order their signal chain in both Insert and Send modes.

The update also includes an extended range of tuning options, offering deeper control over individual oscillators, and new keyboard transposition options provide additional creative freedom.

A Stereo Layer mode has also been included in the update, allowing users to assign voices to left and right output channels, resulting in an expanded stereo sound field.

Arturia has optimised communication between the PolyBrute synthesizer and its software counterpart, ensuring quicker and more intuitive interactions. The firmware update also addresses user feedback by implementing fixes and highly requested additions.

Notably, the instrument now reloads the most recently saved preset upon startup, and more features and parameters are displayed on-screen in real-time.

This transformative firmware update underscores Arturia’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of synthesis technology, making the PolyBrute an even more formidable tool for musicians and sound designers alike.

The new update is free to all Arturia Polybrute owners and can be downloaded here.
