Software heavyweights Kazrog have announced their licensed Avalon VT-747SP plugin, a faithful recreation of Avalon’s stereo compressor and EQ hardware.

The Avalon VT-747SP joins their range of preamps, channel strips, compressors and DIs in being well-associated with top-tier studios. They’re clean, reliable and transparent while harnessing all the power, routing and processing power you might need for a crisp, refined vocal, for example.

Software heavyweights Kazrog have announced their licensed Avalon VT-747SP plugin, a faithful recreation of Avalon’s stereo compressor and EQ hardware. The VT-747SP is famous for its smooth, clean sound, the optical compression being able to be pushed quite hard without becoming overly audible, despite clamping down on transients and dynamics in a firm way. The EQ is simple, with six bands for a subtle shift across whatever signal is sent through it. The EQ bands are fixed, with Avalon carefully choosing the bands to provide maximum flexibility and avoiding possible phase variation between bands. The Kazrog plugin emulates this perfectly!

Kazrog’s plugin is available now, available at an introductory price, modelling the original units to a tee, with a few handy additions. The EQ and compressor path can be switched, as well as the unit offering TSP (Tube Signal Path), where the plugin models three dual-triode valves for a little extra warmth and presence.
