Independent developer Ian Sampson has released the Hush Pro, an intelligent AudioSuite plug-in designed to remove noise, hum, hiss and from speech recordings. While other plugins require you to locate and identify noises and hum, Hush Pro takes care of all that for you!

Expanding on the standalone Hush application, Hush Pro uses machine learning to isolate clean dialogue from room ambience, as well as noise and intrusive sounds such as birds, cars and honking horns. In Hush Mix mode, the plugin has three simple faders: Voice, Reverb and Noise, allowing you to blend in how much of each you want. This way you can give yourself the sound of a well-recorded source, rather than a totally isolated, sculpted and unnatural sounding track. Hush Split mode allows you to separate voice, reverb and noise and carry out non-destructive edits. Jason Freeman, a Dialogue Editor who’s worked on John Wick: Chapter 4 and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, said:

All I can say is wow. The algorithm for isolating dialogue is better than all the other plug-ins I tested alongside it. I’m using Hush Pro on a feature film right now and it saved us from having to ADR an entire scene with the lead actor. This plug-in is pure magic.
