Previously an in person event, Ableton Loop has adapted to the changing environment we exist in by offering the entire program online. Loop Create allows people from all over the world to engage, learn and adapt their production style and be able to share them with their peers.

Ableton have chosen Site and Sound as a theme, encouraging participants to incorporate the outside world as a catalyst for creative music-making.

“Many composers and producers use environmental and architectural space as a catalyst for creative music-making. At Loop Create, we invite you to meet some of them, and explore the fascinating relationship between site and sound.”

Sound engineer Liz Teutsch will host a workshop on using everyday devices in recording. A.Fruit takes on how to create sound effects and will do so live. Representatives from LABS by Spitfire Audio provide insight on how to process field recordings and manipulate them for use in Ableton.

Composer KMRU will approach environmental and cultural influences on music making in an extended Q&A and Perera Elsewhere is set to perform with accompanying live visuals by Hugo Holger Schneider.

This free event features opportunities to mingle with other Ableton users and share creations with each other, taking place on June 26 and 27 2021.
