Stereo Control covers imaging, monitoring and channel troubleshooting in one window, so shaping the stereo picture, checking mono compatibility, inspecting the side signal and tracking down phase problems no longer means loading a different utility for each job.

Stereo Width runs from fully mono to 200%. At 100% the original image is untouched, lower settings pull it in towards the centre and higher ones widen it by adding more Side information. Mono Bass works on the low end alone, narrowing the stereo image below a set cutoff so the bass stays centred while the width higher up is left alone. A Balance control covers quick left-to-right moves. When it comes to checking and fixing, Mono sums the signal for compatibility, Side Solo isolates the side content, and the two channels can be swapped in an instant. Either channel’s polarity can be inverted on its own to fix a side that’s out of phase. The left and right output meters show levels in real time, and the correlation meter reads how the channels relate, which makes anti-phase content easy to catch before a mix folds to mono.
