Marcus Miller is coming back to Australia. The five-time Grammy winner and bass great will tour the country next April, playing five shows across Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Australian audiences last caught Miller in 2024, when he opened the Melbourne International Jazz Festival with his band and joined Herbie Hancock on stage later the same night. This time it’s a headline run of his own, presented by Gerrard Allman Events.

Across more than four decades as a bassist, composer, producer and bandleader, Miller has worked with a long list of names, among them Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Chaka Khan and Beyoncé. His own records, film scores and productions have earned him five Grammys, UNESCO Artist for Peace status and a place on most lists of the greatest bass players going around. Where a lot of his peers now trade on nostalgia, Miller has kept releasing and touring new material, still leading a band that plays with real energy. Miller’s sound pulls jazz, funk, soul and R&B together. With a full band behind him, no two shows are quite the same.
