Six finishes, an upgraded split diamond headstock inlay and a gig bag come with the range now landing through Australis Music Group.
Epiphone’s Les Paul Custom range has crossed over to Australia, having spent its life until now as a Guitar Center exclusive in the US. Distributed here by Australis Music Group, the range arrives with a couple of upgrades over the earlier version – among them a larger split diamond headstock inlay that lines it up more closely with the Gibson Custom it takes after, and a premium gig bag.

Six finishes make up the line. The figured and quilted maple tops come in Ocean Blue Burst, Cobra Burst, Triburst and Iced Tea Burst, and there are two Blackback models in Silverburst and Antique Ivory for anyone after a more classic Custom look. Under the finish is a mahogany body for resonance, an ebony fingerboard and a 1960s SlimTaper neck that keeps things fast and comfortable in the hand.
Its tone comes from a pair of ProBucker humbuckers, which move from warm, vintage-leaning cleans through to punchier rock rhythms and clearer lead sounds when pushed. The hardware and electronics sit a step up from the usual budget fare, with CTS pots handling the controls, LockTone bridges and tailpieces holding everything in place, Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut looking after tuning stability, and gold or chrome fittings depending on the model.
The finishing touches lean on the details that make a Custom – multi-ply binding around the body and neck, pearloid block inlays down the fingerboard and the split diamond up top.
