The Sydney-made coiled cable now comes in eight stock colours following popular demand.

Voltage Cable Co. has expanded its Vintage Coil guitar cable range with a new Grape colourway, bringing the total number of stock colours to eight. After sitting on the sidelines since 2022, the purple hue joins the lineup on 19 November due to popular demand, with shipping beginning 1 December through select Australian dealers.

Founded in 2021 by Thomas Welladsen, Voltage Cable Co. has become a go-to for touring guitarists around the globe, thanks to its combination of retro aesthetics and modern durability. Each cable is handmade at the company’s Windsor, NSW workshop by qualified technicians with over 45 years of experience in valve amp manufacturing.

At the core of these cables is ISO-COAT, a patented hermetic seal designed to prevent the three main causes of cable failure: corrosion, oxidation, and atmospheric attack. This technology reinforces solder terminations and creates an impermeable barrier, making these the most durable coiled cables available in the industry.

Beyond their durability, these cables are built for tone. Featuring 21 AWG oxygen-free copper and low capacitance (25–39 pF/ft), they deliver detailed, full-bodied sound with minimal high-end loss. Premium components include G&H Bigfoot plugs (available in straight or right-angle configurations) and Cardas silver solder for clear signal transfer.

These spiral-shielded instrument cables pay tribute to the coiled cables of the 1960s, famously used by Jimi Hendrix and still beloved for their vintage vibe. Today, artists like Vincent Neil Emerson, John Bohlinger, Jedd Hughes, and LA LOM rely on Voltage Coils for their rigs.

Each cable comes with a transferable lifetime warranty and is available in multiple lengths. The new Grape colour will be available through select dealers from 19 November 2025.
