John Mayer is bringing his world tour to Australia in 2019

Following an opening show in New Zealand, Mayer will travel to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in what will be his first Australian tour since 2014.

The tour news arrives off the back of Mayer’s most recent release, 2017’s The Search For Everything. It’s the seventh studio album the accomplished musician has added to his catalogue, and serves to add an extra degree of success to a career that’s earned seven Grammy awards, six albums placed in the ARIA top five, and a record seven US number one entries on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart.

“I can’t think of a better place to start my world tour than New Zealand and Australia,” said Mayer. “It’s been way too long since I’ve been back there.”
