Ne Obliviscaris announce 2019 tour with Caligula’s Horse

The monster tour continues the group’s breathless touring schedule since the release of their 2017 record Urn, and marks their first shows on Australian soil for over a year. Ne Obliviscaris have decided to commemorate the occasion by taking four stellar prog-acts with them: Calilugla’s Horse, Beyond Creation, Allegaeon and Rivers of Nihil.

Urn was seen by many fans as a return to the band’s quintessential prog-metal sound, after the avant-garde diversions of Citadel (2014). The band has recently run rings around the globe, bolstering their live reputation in the Middle East, U.S. U.K., and Europe, making these hometown shows highly anticipated. Ne Obliviscaris have also garnered attention with their tour financing, using Patreon crowdfunding under the moniker The Ne Obluminati.

Brisbane group Caligula’s Horse released their fourth album In Contact last year, cracking the Top 50 ARIA charts and boosting a 27-show European and a blistering Love Conquers All Australian tour. The tour will be Canadian prog-metal professionals Beyond Creation’s second tour with NeO, this time touring their recently released Algorythm, solidfying their reputation as one of the world’s leading technical death-metal bands. Conversely, Allagaeon are considered the “new face of ruthless modern death metal” and it’s hard to argue that off their latest release Proponent For Sentience. Rivers of Nihil round out the supports, emobodying progressive spirit by combining electronica, jazz, folk and metal.
