Fender have today announced the latest entry in their recently minted Rarities Series, unveiling the rather eye catching Koa Flame Ash Top Stratocaster.
The new gorgeous guitar features a bold ash body with a flame Koa top, and it appears that Fender are on a bit of a (six-string) bender, saying that there are more silky Strats on their way soon.
Rocking custom Tim Shaw overwound 59 gold foil single coil pickups in the neck and middle positions and a deluxe Shaw custom Filter'Tron™-style humbucking pickup in the bridge, the new inspired model has a warm, clear and powerful voice, perfect for players looking to cut through the mix with a dynamic tone.
The classic Stratocaster feel and response is kept in the "Modern C" shaped quartersawn neck, while the 9.5"-radius fingerboard keeps a comfortable fingerboard with narrow-tall frets.
Meanwhile, July and August will see two new killer Fender guitars hit the shelves, with a Chambered Flame Top Telecaster and an American Original '60s Quilt Top telecaster dropping in those months respectively.
