Australian Independent Records Labels Association announces new Women In Music mentor program

The inaugural nationwide program, which is set occur once every four years, is open to all female, female-identifying and non-binary participants who work or aim to work in the Australian music industry. Each participant will be paired with a mentor for a stint of five months, with workshops being held by a range of industry professionals.

AIR’s Women In Music mentor program will see participants engage in tasks to assist with career progress, and will place an emphasis on developing skills in contract negotiation, financial literacy, marketing and leadership. The program is also open to all those who are aiming to find work in all creative, technical and business aspects of the music industry in Australia.
