  • Can adapt quickly to change. We\’re careful when making decisions but they\’re made quickly and implemented quicker. If you’ve always worked in the music industry, the way we work is probably going to be very different from what you’re used to, and that’s exciting.
  • Passionate about building exceptional and long-lasting partner relationships (artist, manager, agent, promoter etc).
  • You will lead the team acquiring new business, so winning deals is something that gets you up in the morning.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys presenting, and doesn\’t get intimidated by a room full of strangers. You have experience in public speaking and negotiation.

 

Tasks Include: 

  • Leading the team to aquire new business 
  • Identifying the right venues, promoters and artists for DICE to partner with on a national scale
  • Support regional Music Leads in delivering the partnerships they’ve indentified in their cities.

  • Assist in developing the international PR arm of the business.
  • Assist in developing and expanding the domestic media database.
  • Manage publicity projects for single, EP and album releases as well as national and international touring artists and culture-focused campaigns.
  • Be passionate about organisation, processes and communication with a strong attention to detail managing workflow across the board. 
  • Be an exceptional communicator and have excellent people management skills – whether this be at creating collateral, reporting to clients, communicating with the Director or delegating to staff.
  • Use their own initiative and be creative – it is important that this person is independent but also actively collaborative.

LIBRARY/ MUSIC RESOURCES OFFICER – AUSTRALIAN MUSIC CENTRE (Sydney) 

The Australian Music Centre (AMC) is the national service organisation dedicated to the promotion and support of art music in Australia. They are seeking a Library / Music Resources Officer to play a key role as part of the Music Resources team. The team covers both library and sales services, with staff working across both areas. While the Library / Music Resources Officer is required to do some work relating to the sale of resources, their role is a blend of documentation/cataloguing and client services/reference. Most of their work is related to providing access to, and documentation of, the collection (which is in both physical and digital formats), including circulations, acquisitions, reference enquiries, and high-level cataloguing of resources.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required: 

  • Qualification in Librarianship or Information Management and demonstrated experience working in library environments
  • Demonstrated musical literacy and familiarity with contemporary art music
  • Strong computer literacy, and familiarity with databases and Microsoft Office
  • Confidence in cataloguing / documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated commitment to providing customer service of a high standard

 

Tasks Include: 

  • Information services, including handling reference and circulation enquiries
  • Documentation/cataloguing of music resources (print music and recordings)
  • Assisting Library users with searching the online catalogue (by phone and email)
