SENIOR SERVICE ENGINEER – RØDE MICROPHONES (Sydney)

RØDE Microphones manufactures and designs microphones that are exported to more than 140 countries from their home here in Australia. They’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior Service Engineer to complement and assist in running their established service team.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar customer facing role
  • Experience as a team leader
  • Audio electronics experience
  • Previous experience in audio engineering or broadcast environment preferred
  • Manufacturing/Production experience (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude
  • Firm understanding of ‘signal flow’ and have proven strength in problem solving/troubleshooting – with an audio focus
  • Team oriented individual with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Willing to be hands on at all times
  • Assist in the management and guidance of the RØDE Microphones service team, helping to provide world-class service and support to our international distributor network and all partners of the Freedman Electronics group. This includes support of products from RØDE Microphones, Event Electronics, Aphex and SoundField

Tasks Include:

  • Ensure all administrative functions of the service team are executed effectively and without delay
  • Help develop and deploy internal processes and technical documentation for effective delivery of service and support to all external stakeholders
  • Develop reports, metrics and KPI’s to provide feedback to NPD and Production Support/QC teams
  • Lead product testing and fault finding of ‘in the field’ failures, liaising with customers and escalating cases where necessary; ensuring the process is documented accordingly
  • Required to be hands on and assist the team to resolve inbound service cases as well as any other tasks directed by management
  • Product service and repair

PRODUCTION & LOGISTICS SENIOR MANAGER – LIVE NATION (Melbourne)

Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their Melbourne office.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in P&L, ideally in the music industry
  • Outstanding management and leadership skills
  • Draw in DWG (desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Teamwork
  • Resourceful with a strong portfolio of contacts in the industry
  • Strong track record of successful delivery of shows and tours across the country
  • Management of the P&L team, including but not limited to co-management of tour staffing and representatives, external service providers (travel supplier, immigration consultants, etc.), internal stakeholders (ticketing, promoters, tour accountants, etc.)

Tasks Include:

Leadership:

  • Day to day management of P&L Manager and Coordinators
  • Management of touring reps and staff where required

Tour & Production Management:

  • Liaise with artists and their representatives, suppliers and venues prior to commencement of tour
  • Advance production and logistics requirements of tours
  • Venue advance discussions and planning
  • Artist and artist representatives main point of contact on tour
  • Management of third party travel provider when on tour
  • Management of immigration requirements for related tours
  • Management & fulfilment of riders
  • Scheduling & itineraries
  • Coordination of tour supports
  • On tour representation (when required)

Co-management of Tour Staffing, Representatives and Service Providers:

  • Procurement of touring representatives & staff and service providers in consultation with VP P&L
  • Fee negotiations
  • Provide written scope of works

Budgeting:

  • Review and consultation of promoter budgets
  • Cost analysis and review on supply of quotes and services
  • Regular updates provided to Tour Accounting for budget tracking
  • Review and consult on applicable venue costs
  • Source and approve invoices generated out of P&L department for submission to Accounts
  • Tracking of production contribution summaries

COMMERCIAL PRODUCT & VIP ASSISTANT – LIVE NATION (Melbourne)

The team at Live Nation are also looking to find a Commercial Product & VIP Assistant to join their office and contribute to organising premium fan experiences for some of the world’s largest tours.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Have developed an understanding of marketing & communications principles
  • Experience working in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
  • Exposure to digital marketing and social media
  • Skilled in developing and leveraging data and insights
  • Advanced in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Eager and ready to support the team, with a ‘can do’ and proactive attitude 
  • High customer service standards
  • Passionate about music
  • Highly detailed, resourceful, innovative, forward thinking, and committed
  • Assist the team to support the running and execution of Live Nation products, VIP fan experiences, VIP customer service, research and presentations, meeting preparations, on ground event execution, project management and administrative support

Tasks Include:

  • Proactive in identifying needs of the team to provide support and ensure the department runs smoothly and effectively
  • Support the team in artist research, brand intelligence, and insight gathering on competitor product and VIP offerings
  • Provide administrative support and project management including meeting preparation, WIPs, meeting minutes, diary management, data management
  • Assist on ground at Tours and Events with any VIP requirements or event implementation, including management of guests and guest-lists (as required)
  • Own the Commercial Product project tracker and follow up team members on tasks providing assistance where possible
  • Ensure accurate input and excellence in all deliverables including checking and management of all VIP product platforms across Facebook, Instagram, Online and any marketing assets
  • Assist with the creation of presentations, proposals to sell-in opportunities, formatting of the weekly sales report and any other adhoc presentations and proposals as required
  • Support the Commercial Product Marketing Coordinator as required to plan, develop and implement VIP marketing
