Living Color are a hugely influential band. They’re currently on tour in Australia, and will be making an extra stop for an evening masterclass at Turramurra Music in Sydney’s North Shore on the evening of Monday, September 11.
Appearing at Turramurra Music will be Living Colour’s rhythm section, Doug Wimbish on bass and Will Calhoun on drums. What’s more, attendees will go into the running for a Spector Bass signed by Doug on the night!

Living Colour’s own blend of fusion, rock, metal and funk is anchored by their rhythm section, so the two veterans can speak volumes of their work as musicians, professional touring artists and what it takes to consistently write, release and perform music on a global scale.
Doug has been a session musician for James Brown, The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, Depeche Mode, Annie Lennox, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, while Will has played with B.B King, Jaco Pastorious, Ronnie Wood, Wayne Shorter and Pharoah Sanders. He was also named Best Drummer of 1990″ by Rolling Stone Magazine.
This is an evening not to be missed, the duo speaking to their musicianship as well sharing stories and advice to all those attending.
Tickets are still available here for an evening of discussion, performances & rhythmic demonstrations at Turramurra Music, practice philosophy & routine and personal insight into the life of a touring musician with years of experience under their respective belts.
