The new hardware family spans four series of snare stands and cymbal stands, alongside an expanded EAD20 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module packing over two thousand voices.
Yamaha has introduced an all-new drum hardware lineup, alongside the EAD20 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module, the latest addition to its acclaimed EAD series.
The new hardware family is split across four series, with each component built around purpose-built solutions designed to simplify setup, maximise tonal control, and make drumming easier for players at every level.

Leading the range are new drum snare stands across the 6, 7, 8, and 9 Series. The 9 Series introduces a Flip Grip Basket, letting drummers flip the basket arms between two sizes to accommodate snares between ten and fourteen inches in diameter. Across the 6 to 9 Series, a Step-Free Tilter offers smooth, precise angle adjustment for optimal playing position, while a redesigned Snare Basket Adjustment Knob provides an ergonomic grip with a built-in metal washer for smooth, stable adjustments. A Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber has also been added to reduce vibration transfer between the snare and stand, letting the drum resonate more freely.
New drum cymbal stands span the 6, 7, and 8 Series. The 6 and 8 Series feature the same Step-Free Tilter found on the snare stands, alongside a Boom/Straight Convertible Tilter across the 6, 7, and 8 Series, which allows the boom arm to be stored inside the upper pipe for added setup flexibility and improved portability. The 7 and 8 Series also introduce a Quick Release Nut for effortless cymbal installation and adjustable resonance control, alongside a Sound Enhancement Cymbal Washer built from a rubber and silicone hybrid construction, designed to maximise a cymbal’s natural resonance and tone. Its removable outer layer can be taken off entirely for a further boost to volume and sustain.
Rounding out the announcement is the EAD20 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module, expanding Yamaha’s EAD lineup with a more intuitive way to record, monitor, and augment drum performances. The module captures an entire kit in rich, high-quality stereo sound through a single all-in-one microphone and module setup, aiming to simplify what’s traditionally a far more complex recording process.
Built around Yamaha’s flagship SWX100 sound engine, the EAD20 includes studio-quality built-in effects and more than two thousand electronic voices, with assignable kit modifier knobs for real-time sound shaping. Expanded triggering capabilities, via both built-in and external triggers, let drummers layer sounds, record loops, import samples, activate backing tracks, and explore further creative possibilities within their setup.
