The Little Labs Voice of God Bass Resonance plugin has landed natively for Mac and Windows, bringing studio-grade low-end tuning to any DAW without UA hardware.
If your kick drum needs more power, your 808s need more weight, or your bass needs more presence, Universal Audio may have just released the plugin you’re after. The Little Labs Voice of God Bass Resonance UAD plugin is now available natively for Mac and Windows, meaning you no longer need an Apollo interface or any UA hardware to run it.
Previously exclusive to UAD hardware-accelerated systems, the Voice of God has long been a favourite among professional mix engineers for its ability to tune bass frequencies with precision. Rather than reaching for a standard EQ, the plugin lets you dial in the exact resonant frequency your low end needs – adding size, heft and punch to kick drums, 808s, bass and even vocals.

Lev Perrey, VP of Product at Universal Audio, says the move to native was a natural next step. “This plugin is a favourite of Apollo customers, and now music creators everywhere can tune low end in their mixes with confidence.”
The endorsements speak for themselves. DJ Jazzy Jeff has been vocal about the effect on bass: “What VOG does to bass is wild – clean, tasteful, exactly what it needed.” Drü Oliver, known for his work with Kehlani, SZA and Mac Miller, adds: “I love using the UAD Voice of God plugin on 808s and sub bass. That low-end bloom makes everything feel cinematic, like the speakers are breathing.”
“The UAD Voice of God plug-in solves problems you didn’t know you had. There’s nothing else like it.” – Andrew Scheps, whose credits span Daft Punk, Jay-Z and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, agrees.
For producers and engineers who’ve spent years hearing about the Voice of God but couldn’t justify the hardware investment, native availability changes things entirely. The plugin works in any DAW, is fast to operate and skips the complexity of traditional EQ-based low-end shaping in favour of something far more intuitive.
Current owners of the Voice of God plugin for Apollo are eligible for special upgrade pricing to the native version.
