The free update delivers ARA support and workflow upgrades, while LUNA Pro 2.0 adds Hardware Inserts.
Universal Audio has dropped LUNA 2.0, bringing some of the most requested features to their DAW, including ARA support, Volt 876 integration, and a significantly beefed-up LUNA Pro version.

The headline addition is ARA support, which lets you use third-party vocal editing tools directly within the LUNA timeline. It’s a long-overdue update that brings LUNA in line with professional workflows used in studios worldwide.
If you already have Universal Audio’s new Volt 876 USB audio interface, you can now control preamp gain, cue mixes and Assistive Auto-Gain settings directly from LUNA. Full session recall of front-panel settings means your hardware and software work as one unified system.
Upgraded Instrument Detection now adds icons to tracks based on instrument type, building on the existing automatic colour coding and warp algorithm selection. It’s a small touch, but it makes session organisation much faster.
LUNA Pro 2.0 gets the more substantial updates. Hardware Inserts let you route audio through analog outboard gear with automatic delay compensation. Integrate your favourite compressors, EQs and effects units into the LUNA mixer with a single click, then save them as presets for instant recall.
The expanded library now includes 29 UAD plug-ins, virtual instruments and LUNA Extensions. Celemony Melodyne Essential and Noiseworks DynAssist Lite come bundled with LUNA Pro 2.0, so you can dive into advanced vocal editing without buying extras. ChordAXE Lite is coming soon, offering intuitive MIDI chord selection and harmonic progression assistance.

LUNA 2.0 is available now for macOS and Windows, working with any ASIO or Core Audio interface. Existing LUNA Pro customers get a free upgrade to LUNA Pro 2.0 until 31 December 2025.
