Enhanced Automation
13.5 introduces Clip-level automation that allows users to apply automation directly to Audio or MIDI clips. Automation can be applied to clips both in the arranger or launcher allowing you to synchronise with launched clips. By layering automation techniques and combining linked and unlinked curves, users can craft unique gates, risers, and rhythmic patterns with ease.
Automation curve handling has been enhanced to provide greater precision in shaping automation movements. Select from a variety of customisable shapes, bypass curves with a single click or easily scale or skew automation selections with the powerful new curve adjuster. Raise or lower points simultaneously with ease or completely warp a curve for creative effects.
Real-time visual feedback has been added along with dynamic, per-track ‘A’ icons that confirm automation is actively in progress. 13.5 offers four distinct automation modes, each colour-coded making it easy to identify which mode a given track is in. Classic Touch and Latch modes have been added to enable seamless live refinements and nuanced control. Combining these features in a single DAW places Waveform on the cutting edge of automation.
