This year’s edition of the festival is set to be headlined by local femme heavyweights Amy Shark and Courtney Barnett, with electro dons Golden Features and HotDub Time Machine also sitting pretty atop of the list. They’ll be joined by Angie McMahon and Meg Mac, while the festival also introduces a brand new act: Love Fame Tragedy, the solo project of The Wombat’s frontman Matthew Murphy.
The lineup also boasts a number of oft-booked festival crowd pleasers such as Skeggs, Odette, Ruel, Thundamentals and Vera Blue, as well as veteran punk rockers Frenzal Rhomb and 2000’s radio darlings Sneaky Sound System. There’s also plenty of Mixdown Magazine favourites including Totally Unicorn, WAAX, Bad//Dreems and West Thebarton, while Kwame, Genesis Owusu, Hatchie and The Beths are also expected to draw large crowds.
As per usual, Yours & Owls is giving the chance for a number of hot up-and-coming locals to strut their stuff across the stage over the festival, with over 20 local acts expected to perform.
