West Thebarton’s debut album Different Things Being Different was nominated for an ARIA award last year, and 2019 shows no sign of the band slowing down.
Frontman Ray Dalfsen says the song is about the feeling of being mentally and physically exhausted in all facets of life – a familiar notion for any musician making a living through touring.
“This song is about those times in your life when you know you should feel so fucking good about yourself, but all you can focus on is negative.”
The seven-piece soul-rock-punk hybrid are also taking ‘Tops’ on a massive nationwide tour during May and June, playing in Adelaide, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. They’re also bringing rising locals A.Swayze & The Ghosts out on the road with them for a one-two punch of rock ‘n roll goodness.
