Promoter Andrew McManus has released a statement confirming this year’s Under the Southern Stars tour will not go ahead as planned.
“In light of the current global health crisis,” writes McManus, “we feel that it is imperative to protect the Under the Southern Stars family and proceed in a clear and calm manner.”
McManus says the UTSS team decided to postpone the event after coordinating with the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee. “We have no other alternative than to postpone our April 2020 festival tour dates,” says McManus.
It’s not all bad news, however. McManus suggests details of a revised UTSS tour will emerge next week. The indication is that it’ll include the same lineup of Live, Bush, Stone Temple Pilots as well as Electric Mary and Rose Tattoo. The postponed event will likely occur in February/March 2021 and all tickets will remain valid. Refund details are not available.
