While the event doesn’t actually feature a swimming pool, Pool House Party will feature the Smithies playing a retrospective live set following the release of the band’s triumphant More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me, as well as a whole heap of unannounced acts from around the country.
Named after the band’s own record label Pool House Records, the festival will also feature a selection of rides and Melbourne’s best food trucks, promising a party like no other at the Coburg Velodrome. Tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow, so make sure you get in quick for this one.
In addition to announcing their own festival, the band have also released the music video to their latest single ‘Passiona’, directed by Chris Matthews. Discussing the new clip, frontman Wil Wagner said, “We shot the video on a lovely sunny day about a week ago. We meandered around the streets of Footscray before driving out to a tiny town called Korweinguboora at the base of The Wombat State Forest for a bit of bush cricket and a barbeque!”
