After playing the first show on tour for their album Light Weight in Canberra last night, they were involved in a crash where someone smashed into the band’s trailer, in the process writing it off and potentially breaking one of the band members’ ankles.
The show must go on though, and the band is playing all over the country throughout October and November off the back of Light Weight. The band’s fifth album was, somewhat surprisingly, the first recorded professionally in a studio and features the singles ‘Guess Work’, ‘Greedy’ and ‘Black Blood’.
Perhaps this shouldn’t be so surprising though, as the band are not exactly a traditional group, having six songwriters contributing to their bank of tunes. Their mix of 80s inspired pop and post-punk ensures a wide range of sounds are explored on the new album, making for an interesting listen.
