The Chemical Brothers announce Australian tour

While there was some speculation that the electronic kingpins would be announced as this year’s Splendour In The Grass front runners, the Manchester-born big beat duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simmons have certainly made up for their absence at the North Byron Parklands, supporting their new album No Geography with huge headline shows at Brisbane’s Riverstage, Sydney’s Olympic Showgrounds and Melbourne Arena (formerly known as Hisense Arena).

If that’s not big enough for you, Australian masters of sampledelia The Avalanches have been locked in to warm up crowds with a DJ set at all dates. Given that it’ll be The Chemical Brothers first shows in Australia since 2013, it’s safe to assume that these shows are going to sell out in a heartbeat. Suss out all the details below – tickets go on sale Thursday May 9 at 9am.
