Although Stewart spent most of the ’60s fronting various rock and pop groups, it wasn’t until February 1970 that he really made his mark as an artist with his solo debut An Old Raincoat Won’t Ever Let You Down, kicking off a commercial hot streak that would go on to see him become one of the greatest selling male musicians of all time.
