Queens Of The Stone Age announce acoustic Hobart show

The concert will see Josh Homme and co. pick up their acoustic guitars for an exclusive unplugged show in the middle of their Australian tour, offering a unique opportunity for fans to catch last year’s Villains and their extensive back catalogue in an intimate setting at MONA’s Nolan Gallery.

In a statement regarding the concert, Homme discussed his desire to play a Tasmanian show on tour, as well as revealing that all proceeds will be donated to the Royal Hobart Hospital’s Childrens Ward.

“Playing Tasmania is special for me… I sit with [wife] Brody’s Mum and enjoy the wild, utterly Australian beauty. I think Mona is a perfect example of Tassie individuality, so playing there is an honour. As a token of our appreciation, we will donate all proceeds to the Royal Hobart Hospital Children’s Ward.”

If you’re lucky enough to live in Tassie, keep your eyes peeled for tickets on Thursday August 16 at 4pm via MONA’s website here. You can catch Queens Of The Stone Age on all their other Aussie dates here.
