Mat McHugh has been working on the WAVES studio album over the past months and is finally ready to share it across the globe. Stating that “it’s one of the best I’ve ever done”, McHugh has set the bar even higher than before.
WAVES is said to be inspired by Mat’s father, who after passing away when Mat was a young boy, passed down a guitar which was used to write and record the entire album. Not only were the music and lyrics created by Mat, but he has self-funded his recordings, manufacturing, distribution and marketing. He also produced the entire album.
A jack of all trades, Mat McHugh is also renowned for his stage presence, playing shows at Splendour, Woodford Folk Festival and more. Next for the mulit-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, is an Australian tour which is set to bring him right across the country.
