As part of the Red Bull Music Academy program Boothe will tour the country via a performance on the RBMA stage at Splendour in the Grass. The tour comes through RBMA’s Club Night series, which means that the shows will be free, as long as you RSVP through their website.
The tour comes on the back of Boothe’s debut album Hud Dreems which was released on legendary American label Stone’s Throw in May and met with good reviews, leading to Pitchfork saying “Boothe isn’t here to blow up from one song; he’s looking to build a lasting legacy one beat at a time”.
It’s been a big year for Boothe, with an appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s universally acclaimed album To Pimp a Butterfly, co-producing the song ‘Momma’, which lead to a whole new legion of fans for the LA beat guru.
