The management team behind acts such as Hiatus Kaiyote and Oscar Key Sung, Wondercore Island have launched a new record label in partnership with WMA and ADA (Alternative Distribution Alliance). Their first official order of business was to release the debut single ‘Hard Hold’ by ‘Jaala’ in preparation for the release of their upcoming album of the same name.
Led by the enigmatic vocalist, guitartist and songwriter, Cosima Jaala, the band refers to their sound as ‘shed’, a blend of jangly indie-rock and proggy art-pop. With songs with references to sharing dreams, troubles of the heart, losses and personal chaos, the album is set to be an emotional and powerful release.
Jaala will be touring nationally with Hiatus Kaiyote on their Australian tour.
